In search of forgotten stories

Research, curating, cultural heritage

“The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

William Faulkner, Requiem for a Nun

About us

Past/Not Past was founded in 2017 by Bruna Lo Biundo and Sandra Nagel. We are cultural project managers having worked and working for various institutions in Europe, always keen to dig up forgotten stories.

Past/Not Past offers research and curatorial services to different cultural organizations. We are committed to promoting material and intangible heritage from the 19th and 20th centuries, specializing in the rehabilitation of cultural actors, events and movements which have fallen into oblivion. We are particularly interested in cosmopolitan destinies closely linked to European history.

Our services are aimed at:

Cultural institutions (museums, foundations, public institutions/authorities, universities, …)

Individuals (heirs/rights holders, collectors, …)

Companies (communications services, company and brand history)

Audiovisual production companies (historical reconstructions …)

We offer to create and coordinate exhibition projects, publications, audiovisual productions, oral history projects, conferences and workshops … and see them through the conceptual and all operational levels up to promotion, public relations and outreach. We are dedicated to providing the solutions that fit your objectives.

We are based in Paris but are happy to come to meet you!
